Schools Earn Future Ready Certifications
Ready for the Future – Nine of New Brunswick’s public schools were recently recognized by the Future Ready Schools – New Jersey coalition with certifications emphasizing relative success in the categories of leadership; education and classroom practice; and technology support and services. For 2019, silver-level recognition was given to Woodrow Wilson School – which had participated in the program last year – while bronze-level certificates went to Roosevelt School, Redshaw School, Paul Robeson Community School of the Arts, New Brunswick Middle School, New Brunswick High School, Lord Stirling Community School, McKinley Community School, and the Lincoln School.
Future Ready Schools – New Jersey is supported by New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Collaborative for Leadership, Education, and Assessment Research; the New Jersey School Boards Association; and the New Jersey Department of Education. The initiative is intended to utilize the national Future Ready Framework and New Jersey’s resources to prepare students for success in the digital age. It enables collaboration within and between schools and districts across the state and helps connect educators with resources.
The nine New Brunswick Public Schools were formally recognized for their accomplishments both at a recent board of education meeting and during the New Jersey School Boards Association’s Workshop 2019 in Atlantic City.
NBPS recently recognized all nine of its Future Ready Schools during a recent board of education session. A photo album is available here.
