Gifted and Talented Program

New Brunswick Academy for the Gifted and Talented
  • The Gifted and Talented Program in New Brunswick Public Schools seeks to prepare, empower and inspire students to be lifelong learners and leaders, perfectly aligned with our district's mission and vision. Students will demonstrate skills in self-directed learning, thinking, research, and communications. This will be evidenced by the development of innovative performance-based tasks that utilize and develop higher-level thinking skills.

Gifted and Talented services are available to all students in grades K-12 who meet the established criteria.  Students will receive services as follows:

    • High Quality, Challenging Curriculum and  Opportunities for Enrichment during What I Need (WIN)

    • 4-8 Self-Contained Full-Day Placement for Students who Meet the Established Criteria

    • 9-12 Scaffolded and Individualized instruction including Summer Enrichment, Summer Advancement, Option 2 Compacting, AP Courses, Honors Courses, and Dual-Credit enrollment.

New Brunswick Public Schools believes that our students should have a comprehensive articulated educational program, designed to maximize their unique abilities and to enhance personal and social growth. The program addresses the academic, social, and emotional needs of students in order to foster healthy development and lifelong learning.
