McKinley K Center is located next to the McKinley Community School fronted by Van Dyke Avenue. The concept of the new kindergarten center is a “community based” school whose programs are more student-centered and individualized and conveniently located within the school for access by both school attendees and residents of the community.
The new school is a 2-story, 37,000-square-foot brick structure with a 245-student capacity. The 10 technology equipped classroom facility also includes conference rooms, a kitchen and multipurpose auditorium. The facility provides immediate relief to the overcrowded elementary schools and is the first school in the district dedicated to pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. The project was completed in the summer 2007.
The Architect selected for the design of this Kindergarten Center was Vitetta of Marlton, New Jersey. Paul Otto Building Co., Inc. constructed the facility. Epic Management managed the project
