Channels of Communication

  • New Brunswick Public Schools values a steady, consistent, and active stream of communication with families. Our district primarily uses TalkingPoints to deliver notifications to families at the school and district level. These notifications can be manually opted-into, so parents and guardians may select what types of communications they would like to receive.

To check your child's grades or view their class schedule, please use OnCourse Connect. Information on how to log in is available on our OnCourse Connect information page

In the event of inclement weather or other emergency, New Brunswick Public Schools will take the best approach to keep families informed and connected. Emergency school closures, early dismissals, and other important status changes outside of provisioned calendar dates will be posted to our Nixle Feed and our official social media channels at the district level. This opening information will also be available by tuning into the radio stations or NJN television channels we designate.

Nixle text message alerts will be sent to students' primary contacts. Emergency contacts on a student's file will also receive alerts from the district during emergencies.

The operating status of New Brunswick Public Schools can be checked at any time at www.nbpschools.net/status
