Dual language immersion program

Offered at Redshaw Elementary School, our Dual Language Immersion Program gives students the opportunity to learn in both English and Spanish across all subject areas. Classes are made up of a balanced mix of multilingual learners and native English speakers, creating a rich environment for language growth and cultural exchange. Students begin in Pre-K and continue through 5th grade, receiving seven years of consistent support. Instruction is provided daily in English as well as in Spanish, with at least half of the school day taught in Spanish. Multilingual learners also receive ESL instruction to strengthen their English skills while continuing to learn in their primary language. The goal of the program is for students to become bilingual, biliterate, and confident in both languages while mastering grade-level academics.

Two-Way Bilingual Program

We are excited to announce the launch of a new Dual Language Immersion Program (Two-Way Bilingual Program) beginning in the 2025–2026 school year. This program is designed specifically for Multilingual Learners (MLs) and will be offered at the following schools:

• Lincoln Elementary School

• Lord Stirling Elementary School

• Roosevelt Elementary School

The program is built to support MLs by promoting both English proficiency and bilingual development.
