One of the six Strategic Plan priorities of New Brunswick Public Schools is health and wellness. Through a grant by Cigna, the District has launched a health and wellness initiative to demonstrate its commitment to the well-being of staff. The District hosts a Fit Club for all staff and observes Breast Cancer Awareness Month with events celebrating employees who receive their annual mammogram. During these events, the Health and Wellness Committee highlights staff who are breast cancer survivors. 

The efforts of our Health and Wellness Committee continue to materialize. Aetna joins our healthy celebration with their support through an additional grant.

Offerings have included a health fair, Zumba classes, yoga classes, African dance, and healthy cooking classes.
