New Science Assessments coming for NJ studentsTop of Page

The New Jersey Department of Education has announced that it plans to implement new standardized science assessments to better align with the Next Generation Science Standards (known in NJ as NJSLS - Science). The assessments will be comprehensive (all areas of science) and will be administered in 5th grade, 8th grade and 11th grade. The assessments administered this spring (2018) will be field tests; therefore no results will be reported back to students/families, schools or districts. The format of the test is not finalized yet, but the department has suggested that the following resources are great places to start when thinking about how to prepare for these new assessments:
